Q. When is it?
A. Classes will take place July 14th through the 16th of 2010 with a concluding performance on Saturday, July 17th.
Q. Where is it?
A. Classes will be held at SOPAC (1 Sopac Way) in South Orange, New Jersey. http://www.sopacnow.org

Q. What are the repertoire classes?
A. Repertoire classes are choreographically intense and meet each day of the festival for an hour and and fifteen minutes. Participation in the repertoire classes will give participants a sense of professionalism and an opportunity to perform in the concluding concert.
Q. How much are individual classes?
A. Individual Master Classes are available with the first class being $30 and all additional classes $25 each. Early Bird, Technique and Hi-Hop classes are discounted to $15 and history, music theory, other classes are priced at $10 each. Please visit the 2010 Prices page for more information.
Q. Why should I get a package?
A. Packages are a great way to save money! The Youth Package (ages 8-12)provides a savings of $75. The Ultimate Package (take a mixture of levels) provides a savings of $135. The Intermediate and Advanced Packages provide a savings of $150
Q. What levels can participate?
A. There are classes available for all levels and ages! Jersey Tap Fest hosts open technique, adult beginner, youth, intermediate and advanced level classes so that there are learning opportunities for all levels and ages. For questions on placement, please e-mail JerseyTapFest@yahoo.com
Q. How do I register?
A. Please visit the 2010 Registration page, either print/fill out the form and fax to: 908-766-1319 or fill it out in a Microsoft Word Document and email as an attachment to JerseyTapFest@yahoo.com along with your preferred class schedule.
Q. What is the Jam Session?
A. The Jam Session takes place on the opening night of the tap festival, this is our chance to welcome you to Jersey Tap Fest. Get to know the other dancers and share your passion for tap dance with the accompaniment of a live band!
Q. What is the Panel Discussion?
A. The Panel Discussion is a time for participants and their family members to get to know the Jersey Tap Fest faculty on a more personal level. Attendants are invited to ask questions.
Q. What is the Student Showcase?
A. The Student Showcase provides participants with the opportunity to share their talents. Acts are not limited to tap dancing. Pieces should be limited to two and a half minutes and the number of pieces to be performed will be dependent on the number of participants. Large groups, trios, duets and solos are welcome. Sign up for this event will be available July 1st.
Q. What is the Silent Auction?
A. The Silent Auction is an on-going fund raising event for Jersey Tap Fest, all proceeds will go to present and future scholarships for young tap dancers. If you are interested in donating a basket for the Silent Auction, please e-mail Hillary-Marie at JerseyTapFest@yahoo.com.

Q. What is the concluding performance?
A. Students who participate in repertoire classes will perform their learned pieces in the first act of the concluding concert. The second act will include to 2010 Jersey Tap Fest faculty and other special performers.

Q. Help! I want to attend Jersey Tap Fest, but do not live in a nearby area and cannot afford to pay for a hotel for myself. Can you help me?
A. Of course! Please e-mail Hillary-Marie at JerseyTapFest@yahoo.com. There will be an on-going sign for tap dancers traveling alone who are interested in sharing a hotel room.
